EVENT POSTPONED
Due to an illness in the speaker's family, the Geotÿpøgrafika Nuovo event, including the pre-event reception, is being postponed until a later date. Once that date has been determined, AIGA Minnesota will send out a new notification, and all of the details will once again be posted to our website. We thank you for your interest in this event and apologize for any inconvenience.
In the mean time, the corresponding exhibition continues. “Face the Nation: How National Identity Shaped Modern Typeface Design, 1900-1960”, a free exhibition curated by Dr. Craig Eliason of the St. Thomas Art History Department, investigates how the need to reinforce, redefine or transcend national identities shaped modern typography design. Click here for more information on the exhibit, where you can read about the work and download audio guides for viewing the gallery.
Face the Nation is sponsored by Minnesota Center for the Book Arts and the University of St. Thomas.
